On 12/05/2017 I recieved a call about a 10 day vacation package including a cruise to the Bahamas. I feel so stupid, I am a single mom and I just want to give my son a great vacation. I work way to much and vacation time is sparse.

I spent 1,700 on the trip and now I am able to take a vacation and found out it was a scam. The phone is disconnected and the website invalid. I called my credit card company but it was a year ago so they can not help me.

I bought a package for a stay in Ft lauderdale, cruise and resort to grand Bahama. The resort we purchased in Grand Bahama we found out later was not in operation. Night before we were to fly out (8:30 pm PST) we were informed Cruise was cancelled, our upgraded resort was no longer available due to the cruise cancelling. We had to make our own reservations in Florida ( additional expense) we were taken to another hotel in Bahamas that was terrible ( no fresh drinking water even!!) and not "inclusiveā€¯ as we purchased and then we were stranded due to ferry not running with no accommodations available thus having to book air fare ( additional expense) to even get back to Florida. Not to mention no food vouchers as purchased, We prepaid $1648, spent additional $1742 and received $443 services/ accommodations. We were told to send receipts to compliance department and receive reimbursement but have only received from reservations department a refund of $168 and $336 which was for upgrade on cruise and resort in Florida -( which was approved the night before we left) we have submitted detail ledgers, receipts and account of entire week and sent certified mail received 11-7-17 and made countless calls. We have been ping ponged all over the place with no one helping us on these promised refunds. Help!! I have several pages of documents and receipts - too many to submit at this time to you

We received a phone call about this wonderful vacation opportunity. We would have to spend 90 minutes touring time shares, but then we would stay two nights in Ft. Lauderdale, all meals included and then drive to Palm Beach and board the Grand Celebration Cruise ship for a two night stay on Grand Bahama Island, again all inclusive.

After our two nights on Grand Bahama Island we sail back to the Port of Palm Beach and drive to Orlando, approximately 4 hours, for another two night say near Universal Studios, they advertised it wwould be in Universal Studios. It sounded great to us and wqe paid in full $999.00. We were told that we didn't have to actually use the trip for 18 months, plus two additional pre-paid trips to Mexico and Las Vegas, which we could take or gift to someone else at a later date.

When I called to make the actual reservations, I was told of additional fees and taxes and I paid another $396.00. Following that phone call I made another to actually pick the dates that we wanted and again another list of "extras" was read to us incuding fees for beverages. Grand Celebration charges up to $12 per person per day, Florida Hotel surgcharges of $10 per hotel, Bahamas surcharge $10 per day, car taxes $75, car in Palm Beach $18 per day, check in at sea $100 cash, ship charges an additional $12.95 per person per day. In other words an extra $575.00 at the time we reach Florida.

Also, I am on oxygen 24/7 and would have to arrange for my oxygen concentrator and wheelchair if necessary.

They will gladly reschedule your trip for a different set of dates with a $50 rebooking fee but they do not give refunds. Now that the Bahamas have been ravaged by 2 Hurricanes, Irma and Harvey, we called to check on the accommodations and were told that all were fine, but that no reservations were being taken until January 2, 2018. That tells me that all is not fine in the Bahamas.

I am interested in getting a refund or at least being part of a class-action suit against Blue Star Cruises. They are a total scam.

We purchased a vacation from Blue Star Cruises for 2 nights in Ft Lauderdale at a 4 star resort, board the Grand Celebration for a 1 night cruise in a CAT 4 Outside cabin upgrade to Grand Bahama Island and a 2 night stay at Parrot Bay then return to Florida aboard the Grand Celebration -1 night cruise in Cat 4 Outside cabin. The cruise was cancelled on 9/19/2017 and we were not notified until we flew from Maryland to Ft Lauderdale on 9/22/2017. We were not offered any refund or comparable vacation to replace what they cancelled. We spent 2 hours on the phone, we were hung up on twice, transferred back to the Ft Lauderdale Welcime Center who told us there was nothing they could do for us. Blue Star Cruises and the Ft Lauderdale Welcome Center gave us the run around , each said the other would be able to help us but no one helped us.

To whom it may concern,

On 2/24/2016, I booked a cruise through Blue Star Cruises for the Grand Celebration Bahamas that had the following contract terms:

Put down a deposit of $193

Remaining balance of $75 to be paid upon formal booking through reservations with option to add other amenities

18 months to book

On 7/16/2016, I called to find out what options were if I was unable to book during the 18 month window and was told that I could extend provided I called before the 18 month expiration for a nominal fee of $29.

On 7/27/2017, I called to extend the contract and pay the fee to do so because I recognized I was not going to be able to book prior to the 18 month expiration date. I was handed off at least 2 times with one individual indicating that they discontinued the option to extend (which happened after I originally signed up under the terms of having an option to extend) and then was passed to Finance and a woman names Chantel (sp?), who proceeded to berate me, call me a liar, yell at me and do everything in her power to negate the contract that I had signed up for, therefore refusing to extend, refusing to book and refusing to refund my original $193.

Given the utterly reprehensible business practices and behavior of the organization's representative Chantel, I am not interested in booking with this organization and demand a refund of my money.
