Blue Dog RV Reviews

I have received an online quote for an rv from an internet salesman for a 2008 34B, saying what a great deal they were giving me. But the unit they sold me is a 2007 34c. The only reason I found this out is through the DOT, their info database didn't match the insurance information. Mind you, the dealer was the one that hooked me up with insurance, prior to me taking the unit home. All of their paperwork says 2008, but a quick vin search shows clearly for it to be a 2007. Not only that, my mechanic spotted tires that are over 10 years old, which are illegal to sell in NV. I've been trying to get some type of answer from the crooked establishment, but it has been a while now. All they say is "we are trying to get someone to address this issue." Who knows, maybe they are looking to hire someone to address This? Because no one is doing anything. You have been warned!

Rv was damaged when they told us to come get it. We had driven to Idaho and they said they would fix it. They have not. Blue Dog has not responded to phone calls or emails. Dropped RV off at Gresham location July 6, 2017 and now Dec 7,2017 so they have had a new $120k Grand Design Momentum trailer going on 6 months for repair. The Blie Dog service dept ran into side of it and gashed wall with a Fork lift on their lot and have not responded to that being repaired. It’s freezing and they have not responded to requests to winterize it in Portland. Blue Dog guy threatened me. Other guy at Blue Dog would only answer questions I asked to my husband. Lost rv places we had on reserve on coast, costing money for hotels and rent other rvs . Lost use of this over summer.

My husband is handicapped and retired. Still making payments while RV depreciates on their lot. Tried calling and emailing for time frame of repair and when parts were ordered and no response coming back.

When we bought it new rv had issues and Blue Dog said to take rv and they would fix it. I happened to see their service guys on ladders in back lot hammering on awnings to get them to go in and out. They said this was fixed. Awnings did not work. Took to Gresham and when I went in to see what repairs were made they threatened me and also when they tried to make awnings work that they said they had fixed for the umpteenth time, awnings right on lot with service guy did not work. Now they are not answering Phone calls or emails. The rv has been on their lot going on 6 months and they ran into the side of it and no word of this is repaired to prevent snow damage .

Very disappointed! We went to a recent RV show down at PIR and and purchased a used, 2015 travel trailer. In all honesty, the service was top notch and we agreed to a sales price of $12,500. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. We knew we were low-balling them on this deal. We weren't looking to spend more than $11,500 when we came in. We were fully prepared for them to reject the offer, but they didn't! The offer was too good to be true.

We went in to sign the paperwork and of course we were pitched the moon. In the end, they were trying to up sell us nearly $5k for a warranty, under coating, etc. My husband and I had originally been looking at private party sales, so we would not have gotten a warranty or all of this protective BS had we gone that route. In the end, we shook hands and signed bank docs, Oregon DMV title/registration, everything.

We were supposed to take possession on Saturday. We were told we would get a call on Monday or Tuesday to confirm our pick up time. By Wednesday, we had not heard a thing.

We secured our insurance and were prepared to go out of town on Sunday. My husband called to follow up and confirm our pick up. In short, after speaking to Jason, the regional sales manager, we were told that the gentleman that traded in the trailer (that we bought) did not get his financing for his RV. So basically, our deal fell through.

Jason was apologetic and stated that this has only happened three times in 24-years. Three times too many!! Why would anyone sell something that is not free-and-clear? I CALL B.S. I think that they were confident that they would make money on us with the warranty, armor guard package, etc. When they didn't, they made sure that the deal fell through!! He then offered to have us come back down to the show and offered to sell us one at invoice. I call this the old bait and switch. They knew we were leaving to go out of town this weekend and that we were looking forward to utilizing the new purchase. Now the buyer is emotionally invested and disappointed. However, we were smart enough not to fall for their scheme!! Buyer beware!!

I have already indicated the complaint earlier

*They have a forever warranty, but the process by which they do their diagnostics really will not determine a leak coming from rain dropping vertically vs hosing the trailer for water leaks with a hose. I am currently to my wits end, and very tired with having to take my trailer to them AGAIN so they can tell me that it does not leak and there is nothing wrong with it. I have numerous photos to prove that what I am showing them is water and not anything else. I demanded that they open up the belly cause it could be mold ridden, and I just do not believe they have done so. They have extremely good employees. I like their service writer Todd. He is a good man and very responsive, like Shanna. But please someone please help me save my investment before I seek legal help.*

We visited every dealership within a 20 miles radius of Portland, Oregon to compare prices, customer service, warranty and selection. We settled on Blue Dog RV, new to the area, because their sales pitch included big promises about how great their sales department is supposed to be. At no point were we informed that it is required we spend several hundred dollars a year in service updates to maintain the warranty, and that, in addition, there would be a $65.50, non refundable charge required every time a warranty issue arose & that, furthermore, neither the service nor the sales staff know a single the about propane issues . We are now left with an RV we cannot use at all due to toxic fumes & a severe sinus infection which has gone on for weeks since exposure to the toxic fumes. In addition, my 16 yr old grandson has missed over a week of school due to illness since exposure.

We purchased a travel trailer from Blue Dog RV Gresham Oregon. The first time we used the heater, we were overcome by propane fumes and became very ill. A call to the service department revealed they knew absolutely nothing about why this would be happening. He said, "I don't know, the only thing I can think of is maybe you left the pilot light on in the oven. " My response, "This RV does not have an oven," led him to offer for me to pay $ 63.50 to bring it in to be looked at, although he did not know what the problem could be. We would have to retrieve the trailer from our winter recreational location and bring it in with the knowledge he, admittedly, had no idea what problem to look for. A call to the sales manager, assuming he would be able to explain why we needed to pay money to diagnose something that was clearly a warranty issue was even less successfuk. Not only did he not look up our information, he sarcastically and demeaningly chastised us for "trying to live in a travel trailer. " We are home owners who live in Portland, Oregon. We parked our RV on a nearby farm in Washington to visit on the weekends so the Grand children could spend time with their horse who boards there. The idea was a disaster. Ever since the first night spent there over 5 weeks ago we have been ill from serious sinus infection after exposure to toxic fumes. The sales manager insisted we pay money to repair what may be a serious propane leak. So much for the Blue Dog Life Time Warranty. Now we are left with a trailer we cannot use, and expected to rely on a service department which has already admitted they know nothing.
