Big Red Sports / Imports Reviews

I used Big Red Sports and Imports twice in two years to finance vehicles. First vehicle, October of 2014, I was told I could return in one year and refinance this vehicle at a lower rate. I did not have a means of transportation, so reluctiantly, I took the vehicle offered at $494 per month. I returned 365 days later to refince and lower my payments, they said I was upside down on my payments and would not refinance. The company that they found to first finance me, The Key, that company discontinued doing business with Big Red.

October, 2015, Big Red eventually got me into a new 2015 Kia Optima because they said it was easier to do so in a brand new vehicle. I took the accepted this offer and was/am paying $526 per month. Again, they said I could return in a year and refinance this Kia to lower my payments. My other vehicle, the one financed through The Key, they had me follow one of their sales associates in that vehicle, to a hotel north of Big Red, remove my tag and leave it there behind the hotel. They said it would be taken care of later.

Over the past year, I've had a law firm work on cleaning up my credit and I have gotten a raise at work. My credit score has gone up considerable and I am financially better off. I went into Big Red Sports & Imports on Monday, October 17, 2016 to refinance my vehicle and/or see what they could do about getting me a lower interest rate. The said that I was "upside down" again and could not get me a lower interest rate. they tried to get me into a new Kia, again, then had to audacity to say I could pay $716 per month and pay it off quicker.

Nothing became of this last visit to Big Red to try and get a lower interest rate and refinance at a lower payment. I left angry, thus, I am on here. I found out via several attorney friends, that Big Red has numerous complaints and has even had a Norman Police detective, along with uniformed officers, go there on complaints that they were reselling cars that were being left there after they got persons into new vehicles.

Big Red Sports & Imports should have a full investigation done on their unethical behavior and illegal transactions that they "continue" to do. I am considering going to local news stations.

Ok here is my story, about a year in a half ago my partner and I purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry XLE. During the purchase everyone was very polite for the most part. Waiting is always horrible but that is to be expected. Well here it is time that I want to trade it in so I do some shopping around ( keep in mind with full intention to go to Big Red since we have now bought 5 cars with em). Upon getting it appraised turns out the XLE is an SE! First thing I do is go through all the paper work because there has to be a mistake. On the back of the car it says "XLE". Well crap, really the paper work even says SE. Pull the national history says SE. Take it to a Toyota dealership they let me know SE. When we bought the car not only was it masked as an XLE, hyped as an XLE but also priced as an XLE! One without knowing wouldn't think there was much of a difference really in price but boy was I very wrong! Not only will no one take it as a trade in, no one will refinance me, and I cant sell it privately who would be silly enough to by it? (other then I of course) and heres the best part I call with the intent of canceling my warranties just so I can get something back to try and fix the fact that I am so upside down with the car the guy I talked to says to me, "well ma'am I can assure you we didn't make any money off the sell" REALLY! how does that make anyone feel better???

For one I have now researched the car it was a fleet car so they got it dirt cheap, and was able to mark up the price so much so that I cant do anything to get out from under this car. I didn't even get an apology for the fact I got taken to the cleaners. Now I realize a wiser person would have done better research but I really just didn't know. I had zero idea and I had bought 4 other cars prior to this buy. So its on me I guess but I think when you go buy a car please look at all details be wiser then I was. Ask the right questions. I hope this helps someone Thanks for your time!

Big Red KIA, is a major rip off. I filled out a online application and was notified by email that I was preapproved. So I waited a few days went down there and then I had to fill out another application, they took my car which I was going to use as a trade in. We waited and waited, then a sales manager came over and asked me do you have any other income which I said no, do you have anyone that can cosign for you, I said no. Then they tried to sell me a used car, I declined, then he came back and said we have a Ford Mustang which they just got it in. All I now is that they lie.
