Received a letter in the mail dated August 8th stating that I was pre-approved for a loan from $200-$600 dollars and that I need to go to their web site and fill out their web site questions and a form. On August 18th I call their phone number and asked customer service about their procedures and requirements on a recorded line. I qualified according to their small print on the letter and by customer service on the phone line. It was stated by customer service that they do not share information with any one and they keep my information secure. After I filled out their online forms it comes back and says that I did not qualify for their loan. About 30 to 60 seconds later I get 12 e-mails from different companies asking if I want a loan from them. I did NOT check box any where on-line nor did it ever say on the on-line form that they would share my information with any one else or on the letter. WHAT really concerns me is that I put my BANK information in there as well as all my PERSONAL information too. It seem to me they shared all my information as well. I called customer service and ask to speak with a manager. They transferred me to a supervisor after a 25 minute wait. It was explained that I was on a recorded line, after that I expressed my concerns to the supervisor and the only answer for every concern I had was the system makes the decision. Well after that I called the Better Business Bureau and asked them about this company and to my horror they have a F ratting for many reason including the same as mine. So I have called my bank to setup protection for my self through their means, BUT they still have all my information and that's what concerns me.

was pre-approved and then denied...

I, too, am worried because I put all my info out there and then they denied me...I make good money and my credit is good, but I did not meet the criteria. What do they do with all the personal info you give them when they deny you? Do they sell it or share it with scammers? How do I protect myself now? I feel so dumb; I know better thant to give all my info like that! Is there a way to prevent identity theft from them?

They used my banking information to make direct deposit. When I called for payoff, they did not want to give me an account, loan number. Finally after persisting they gave me an application number. They wanted payment mailed to an address only.

Big picture loans will not upfront tell you about the finacial problems you will occur; with there high iprecentage rates, they will trape you, by the money has nothing to do with the loan, when you sign in you locked with high back of 617.0656% with a financial charge of $ 3,837.50 for $750.00 loan your pay back $4,623.50. This is outragous charges ; this company should not be in business, They should be reevaluate to business in the country, there fee and intrest rates are outragous. How can we stop them from taking people money?

Tribal Lending does not mean they don't have to follow the law:

Please read to the end, you do have a legal option to resolve this with the help of the Federal Government.

This company is Red Rock Lending, It goes and has gone under multiple names, Castle Payday, and has now changed its name to Big Picture Loans. Avoid at all costs

I made the mistake of taking a loan out with these scam artists, I was approved for a $600.00 loan, but only borrowed $350.00. I was told by the Rep on the phone that there would be a $122.50 finance charge, steep, but I agreed.

What I did not know, and could not see at the time I accepted this agreement, was that the Truth in Lending disclosure not visible at the time I accepted this loan showed an APR of, and this is not a typo either, 849.0116% and that the total repayment amount for my $350.00 loan would be a whopping $1,872.50.

After realizing what I had gotten myself into, I started looking online and saw what kind of company this is, they are a predatory lender engaged in illegal business practices.

This is where it got interesting, I did digging online, and found that they are NOT immune to the reach of the Federal Government. On March 19th of 2014 U.S. District Judge Gloria M. Navarro ruled that the FTC Act “grants the FTC authority to regulate arms of Indian tribes, their employees, and their contractors.” specifically regarding deceptive payday lenders hiding behind a tribal affiliation.”

I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on December 8th citing what exactly had transpired, noting that I had not been informed of the 850% interest rate on the loan, that I was told there would be a $122.50 finance charge, not $1,872.50 in total payments, and that I was unable to view the "Truth in Lending" disclosure until after the loan had been processed and funds delivered to my account. This is illegal, and remember, their claim that they immune to the laws of the Federal Government….. is totally false.

Within 10 days of me filing my complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I got a response from Castle Payday stating that "By electronically signing the loan agreement, you agreed to abide by its terms, including the repayment schedule."

The very next paragraph however read... "To date, the Company has received payments from you in the amount of $490. While not obligated to do so, and in an effort to resolve this in a manner that is most favorable to you, the Company has “Charged Off” your account and updated its status to “Paid in Full,” thereby concluding your business with the Company."

I had no problem with paying the total of $472.50 I had agreed to for the $350.00 loan, which is only fair, I was not looking to get out of a legitimate debt. I was fortunate, the $490.00 this cost me was only $17.50 more than I had expected to pay, and I will gladly write that off as a fee for learning this lesson.

If you have been scammed by these people, I urge you to please go to the "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau" website, it is http://www.consumerfinance.gov/ and file a proper complaint. This doesn't cost anything. Include specific details of the loan, the illegal interest rate that they are attempting to charge you, whether or not all of the details of the loan were made visible to you at the time of the loan submission, etc. Be professional, and you will likely get the resolution that you are looking for. These complaints are forwarded to the legal offices of this illegal loan sharking operation and they will likely do what they can to make you happy and keep the Federal Government out of their operation as long as possible. Do not bother with the Better Business Bureau, they do not have legal authority over any company, go straight to the Feds.

It took less than 10 days for me to get this resolved, this company does NOT want the feds coming after them, and the more people that file proper complaints, the more likely the FTC or CFPB is to take action against them to stop these illegal practices, These “Tribal Operations” have already been fined Millions by the feds. Here is the company full name and mailing address that you will need when you file your complaint: Red Rock Tribal Lending, LLC d/b/a CastlePayday.com (or now bigpictureloans.com) P.O. Box 704, Watersmeet, MI 49969

I needed tires.,and I just moved so I could not use my Money Tree Loan yet. I took a quick loan for my safety. I paid one payment and the next payperiod I wanted it paid off. I tried to pay off loan using onlie account, there were errors for evey way I tried. I called in the payment. Next day I got email saying they took both the payment and the pay off. I called in on Monday, after a they had also called into my work. (why? they owe me)

I had to do three way phone call (30 minutes) to get my debit verified. Upon this they also asked - balance before the debit, after the debit and overdrafts!! I have never used them before- so why they asked so many questions after taking unauthorized amount- almost $100!! I said to them exactly.. Why did you ask for account details such as balances and overdrafts on my"f8cking" account.

Well- then he said since you used profanity this is "ESCALATED: ???

So he wanted a number to call me back- (thye have all my info) and someone will get back with me. They did not refund my money and now have to file probably legal proceeding for $100.- and HOPING they do not continue to take money from my account. I can't ee file fraud until 4 days. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!

I got a flyer in the mail from big picture loans saying I was pre approved$200-$400 so I checked it out and started to fill it out it asked for my drivers I'd and all my bank info it was getting to personal. Something seemed fishy. I looked it up and I saw two other people happened to them. So I went back and erased everything before I submitted it.

I received a pamphlet in mail I am a songwriter and needed funds for my demo so I called they made it sound so easy

total financed $400 I was told there would be $200 interest which I agreed to

I did this April 2016 made my first payment of $200 in May they agreed to skip June

I made my next payment of $200 July 2

They show nothing I have paid. I have contacted reps Mel Sarah and April supervisors 2 hung up on me

They still say I owe $600.00 crazy

I advised them today July 2nd they are not to deduct not another penny from my account and will advise my bank the same

I have filed a BBB report

They definitely intend to scam me.. i probably did read terms and agreements a tad too fast however they explained it so very good to me.

They still intend me to pay total of $600 after I made 2 out of 3 payments

WARNING! WARNING!

The fine print at the bottom of the flyer gives it away.

"if for example you borrow $400 at the APR of 766% to be paid back In 13 biweekly payments you'll make 12 payments of $103.18 each and the final payment will be 103.15"

TAKE A MOMENT AND ADD THAT UP. C

you borrow 400 dollars.

You repay $1340 approximately back.

STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY. No debt is worth this thievery.

big picture loans

I FOUND THESE STEPS TO BE VERY EFFECTIVE IN JUST A FEW SHORT WEEKS

First: change the info. in your banking, I told my bank I have someone using my NOT approved banking info.

Second: block numbers on you phone

Third: Consumer affairs for non legal interest fees.

Shady people

I got a letter on the mail that I was pre approved for 600 dollars. I need the money for an emergency so I was just applying on the website and when I got to the part when I was asked to put my bank routing info I got a bad feeling on my gut. And I didn't wanted to put anything down. I googled them and I realize they are scam artists. I'm happy I didn't go through with the process.
