How does this company come by an old version of my book? How do they sell it without my making any royalty from it? I looked up the company, and their mission is admirable. But I'd still like answers to these two question.
I ordered and paid for a book from this company. Months later it still hadn't arrived (I assumed they'd sent it sea mail). When I contacted them, they told me - basically - "tough" and they weren't going to do anything about it. They did wish " have a nice day" however, so their email reply wasn't a complete waste of time. Order number 142212712
I purchased a legal guide that I had researched and found two used copies on Barnes and Nobles Marketplace website. The seller for the one I purchased was Better World Books. The book was listed by the exact title, the proper edition, the correct purblisher date, and the author. There was no ISBN number in the listing. I was concerned I would not receive the correct edition and I would have loved to have had that info to confirm my order. I placed my order. They sent a confirmation with a different book. I contacted them to advise the wrong book was being sent. They stated the listed ISBN number was sent. Its not even close to the title, author, and the publishing date was more than 20 years ago. Hopefully they will make it right and refund my money. Otherwise be careful. I would have not entered this complaint had I not found similar reports on the internet. Now the other vendor no longer has the used book so I missed my chance completely.
