Barrister Global Services Network, Inc. Reviews

FIELD TECHNICIANS BEWARE!!

I was sent on a work order contract which would pay $45 per hour for 6 hours. I was required to hire a helper. The helper would also be working for 6 hours at $45 per hour. We arrived at the work location, driving for 3 and a half hours. Travel time not paid. The office building was vacant. After phone calls here and there we learned the work was completed some days earlier.

Barristers scheduling error. THEIR MISTAKE. I upheld my end of the contract. So, it cost me $75 for fuel. I had to pay my helper $200 for the day. Now I'm in it for $275. The Barrister Company is paying me $92.25 and paying my helper $25. $150 loss. I was supposed to be paid $270 for each contract, totaling $540 for the day.

The Barrister Global Services Co. will not respond to my pay dispute inquiries. I will revise this posting if I get paid for the day.

I have been a support technician of Barrister in the pass who has not gotten payed for my work completed.

I have turned down work assignments when asked if I could do them and they later tell me that they penalized me for $100.00 because I did not take there assignments. They even tell me that I said that I would take there work orders and just not show up for them after I told them in plenty of time to find another technician to do their work orders. I have worked for a alot of companys in my pass and grade Barrister Global Services Network, Inc. with a "F-". I grade them with a lower score than Donald Trump who I give a "D-" to because he didn't his employees either.

So if you are a computer technician and you don't want a company to "Rock and Roll" out your time and money, stay the hell away from a call from Barrister asking you are you available to do work for them.

Thank you for this webpage, it is a stress releive.

I have worked for the company for 8 years as an on-call contractor. I have watched it go from bad to worse. This company uses dispatchers from Albania who speak very poor English to harass, coheres, and basically degrade Field Technicians into doing work at below minimum wage costs. They don't pay mileage, account for wear and tear and time on your own personal vehicle that is used for their projects. Additionally, they tell you that they are going to pay you for work completed and don't pay you at all.

They have an AP department that has no phone number, just an email address purposely so that they don't have to answer to the direct complaints of payment and customers verbally. Many times, as a tech you are told that there is a problem with the program or the portal used that didn’t get the completed information. You, compete for jobs and are hopefully paid within 3 days if you pick the speedy option, otherwise, it can take up to 2 months if you select regular ACH. The speedy option for payment of which they take another 13% of the funds due you as a processing fee. There is so much that I can go into on the inappropriate procedures that are used that I can write a book on! They use the address of a PO Box in Hammond Louisiana, but all operations are done with virtual dispatchers from Albania that are between the age of 16yo and 20yo who have no technical or field experience. They are yelled at, cursed at and demeaned also just so they can be pushed to pressure the techs into doing the project for the least amount of money possible. This allows them to keep more money for the company. These so-called managers, run this virtual sweatshop. The clients complain of the poor workmanship, techs not showing up and just walking away on the job! Who can blame them based on the amount they are given and B/S they go through just for the little money that is paid. For me, I will stick with the most recent issue which at this time is payment for work completed.

Techs aren’t really motivated to do a good quality job and be as professional as possible. I personally haven’t been paid for two weeks for a job I completed even after I was involved in an accident on way to the job the next day. Barrister dispatchers weren’t even concerned in the health of the techs or their welfare. After I, contacted them to let them know I was involved in a ‘hit-n-run’, the first thing that was asked to me was “can I go back to the job site after I leave the emergency room”? My assistant and I were in the accident. After numerous calls, and emails to the so-called President of the company and all the managers, and dispatchers involved. We were told that there was a problem with the program and that someone would call me when it was resolved. A week later no call. After more aggressive measures. We were given a date that it would be resolved, and payment would be made to us within 24 hrs. 48 hours later no payment and no resolution. You would think this company that does everything via various technicians across the US and Canada who are just picking up side gigs to make ends meet, would treat them better and try to at least use English speaking US Dispatchers instead of farming out all the work.

As a Client who wants their printers, laptops, desktops, and electronics fixed via warranty repair. Techs are sent out numerous of times to fix the problem and they themselves may not be qualified to work on the units or don’t know how to work on the unit and have the worse work ethics. Clients receive 10 to 15 calls a day from the dispatchers just to make sure they’re going to make money. Not to make sure the units are fixed, clients are happy, and there is no re-repair. Techs know the more trips the more money they will make. Repaired or not, they are getting paid the lowest possible so they might as well milk it. The attitude is Barrister doesn’t care so why should they.

For some reason reason recently ( within the past 1 year ) Barrister has been shorting me in my paychecks,

They say I didnt return all my parts. This started about 1 year ago, I keep contacting them but they ignore me they gave me a payiusses email but that never replies to me. I called but no help. I mean I always was getting paid very

slow but after about 2 months they would pay, then it started getting later and later, until now no pay. They owe

me about $2500 but have not seen a penny. I stopped working or doing calls rather for them, I started to look on

the net to see if anyone else had issues, I found a bunch I see theres a lawsuit that one lawyer started I emailed

him, I am not sure whats up. They very much unprofessional.

I emailed them I want my account closed. I have been getting requests for calls but I just want to be out of

there stupid system and company>>>>>>>>>

As a technician, I often don't accept any of their work orders. When I do it's because I'm having a slow moment and wish to spend a ton of time to get paid. They just charged me a "late" fee of $25 for arriving at an appointment scheduled between 0900 - 1100 at 0923. Now I have to EMAIL their "pay issues" department (yes, a whole department devoted to pay issues) and WAIT 5 business days for a response (they must be THAT busy) though it used to be ten days.

They don't pay standard rates, scoff whenever I try and counteroffer for travel (sometimes over 100 miles away) and then charge erroneous charges for their technicians. One time, they refused to pay me for a service call citing the customer complained about me. I contacted the customer and they said no such thing. I responded back to them and they suspended me for contacting a customer of theirs. I was only reinstated after talking to the OWNER of the company. If you are a technician, stay clear. Once I get my current pay issue resolved, I am no longer associating with this company and will urge other technicians to do the same.

I decided to give this company a try after not having any work for a while. They sent me a printer job in Winston-Salem North Carolina. They said it was a job replacing a power supply. It turned out to be a job replacing a different part because a tech had already been to this site four times replacing the power supply and had created a new problem or more in the process. Barrister neglected to tell me this when they were trying to get me to accept the call. I would have never gone to this job behind another technician if I would have known the undisclosed situation they were putting me into. So I spent an hour and a half repairing the machine and installing the part they had isssued. Of course it didn't fix the problem. When I called to close out the call Jason from Barrister said "No you have to troubleshoot it on the phone with HP helpdesk until we figure out whats worng with it after I already suggested replacing the display, which was not working. I worked with them for a while barking orders at me while I was trying to understand the help-desk with a thick accent outsourced to India or something. After a while I saw that we wern't getting anywhere and said I wasn't contacted to do all this extra troubleshooting but I would come back for another ticket. Jason got mad then said something like this isn't the time to talk about your contract shouting into the phone and then said ok,fine! and hung up on me. After I called back I found out he closed the job out and said I didn't complete the call refusing to pay me. I had a two hour round trip drive. I was there for an hour and a half. I replaced the part I was contracted to replace on a holiday for only $58.00. I had to drop the used part off at UPS and close the call out online all while not getting paid. If this is not a ripoff I don't know what is. Look at all the other reports here. Trump is suppoed to help us shut down fradulent companies like this. I pray he does. This is the third time this has happened this year._I don't deserve this. Please help me put these rejects out of buisness and make IT a reasonable place to work again.

I performed work for them. No return label in the parts box. Told them on the phone I needed a return label for the parts, never got one. Went to the useless tech portal, requested a return label, receive a confirmation of my request, never got label. Finally called them when they were trying to rip me off for my pay for 2 jobs now, they said they would straighten it out. Finally got a return label, sent the part back. Now they are claiming the serial numbers didn't match. The person on the phone didn't know whether it should have been the old part or the new part. I swapped out the part as indicated by the SOW, so the part should have been the old part.

Attempted to dispute the charges through the port, "Undeliverable mail", same as the pay issues email address.

Contacted the owner of the company, he shoved it off to another lacky. Now their trying to keep all my money due to the one S. O. that they have no right to charge me for, instead should be paying me for both service orders.

They are doing everything they can to rip me off for 2 service calls. They keep calling me to do more work for them and I refuse, letting the dispatcher know exactly why I'm not doing calls for them anylonger.

I will be calling some prominent people that I know personally in some of the companies that do business with Barrister and will be referring them to more ethical companies.
