This school is filled with bullying and racism which is not deterred by teachers or administration! A child should never have to experience this in any school it's hard enough to get through school, Don't let your child go here with bigotry and the racist environment!

Rose who all she cares about is whos turn is it to bring doughnuts each and every day! barbara bush elementary has long surpassed the old exemplary status. this school is no longer coveted as what it used to be thanks to the HISD budget cuts, top teachers with tenure not getting paid what they should replace with teachers right out of college and rezoning which now includes many apartments in the area with transient families.
Fights are a common occurrence, problems with dysfunctional families and kids using this school as a means of babysitting and not a learning environment. Principal, VP is excellent, doing the best with what they have to work with. I hate this school the kids here are bullies and nobody is considerate and just downright rude not even a "I'm sorry" if they bump into you in the hallway .
And if you not popular your not cool and nobody talks to you it sucks school is supposed to be the best years of your life but unfortunately it sucks a*s excuses my language! I'm lucky I have at least two or three friends in this hell of a school!
Whatever you do don't send your kids here they will be miserable if I could I would give this crap hole zero starts bc I hate it so much. Even the teachers are pretty rude and disrespectful to the students who struggle and need some more attention with there academic needs.
Overall what I'm saying is dont be a part of this school you'll definitely regret it and most of all be smart with the decision of what school to put your child in if your new comer to bush elementary be smart with your decision of what school to put them but I definitely don't recommend this school because of the bullying and racism.
