Bad Apple Reviews

BAD APPLE CLAIMS TO FIX IPHONE BUT THEY ARE NOT CERTIFIED TO DO SO. About a week ago I was fixing a broken screen on my IPhone 7. I stripped out one of the screws near the home button. From past experience I knew that the components in the phone are very fragile so instead of attempting to put any more pressure on the phone I called the Draper Bad Apple location and told them about my problem.

The technician said that this was something they dealt with on a regular basis. He told us to bring in the phone and he would take a look at it. My boyfriend and I took the phone directly over to the Draper store. We were met by a technician named Kelsey. We again explained to Kelsey our problem. Kelsey said she had seen this several times before and she knew a couple of ways to help get the screw out.

Kelsey then took the phone behind the counter and over to her workstation. At this point Kelsey started working on the phone. Kelsey said the screw was definitely stripped but she knew a different way to get the home button out without damaging the phone. Kelsey then pushed the home button through the phone. When Kelsey did this she made a small startled sound and then just sat there for a couple of seconds staring at the phone. (My boyfriend, Richard Vass, and I both witnessed this event and thought the reaction was a bit odd.

We both believe this is when Kelsey broke the fine ribbon that is attached to the home button) We could see that the home button was now detached from the main base of the phone. Kelsey then looked as if she were working on the phone again, examining the metal plate. Several minutes later Kelsey said the ribbon was torn and had been torn before we brought the phone in. Kelsey then gave the phone back and sad Bad Apple would not be able to fix the phone.

I asked Kelsey to show me the work she had done on the phone and where the ribbon was torn. Kelsey presented to me how she bent the metal plate holding the home button in place and pushed the plate through the phone with a quite a bit of force. I was concerned by the force she had used on the phone and asked her to show me where the ribbon was ripped. Kelsey had to pry the metal home button plate up in order to show me where the ribbon was torn. It was obvious that Kelsey was lying and that she had torn the ribbon. Kelsey then told us Bad Apple was not certified to fix IPhones and that there was nothing else Bad Apple could do for us.

I was shocked to learn that Bad Apple is not certified to fix IPhone since this is a big part of Bad Apples business. My boyfriend and I decided that we would call the manager and get everything straightened out the next day. The manager Rob told us the same thing, that Bad Apple is not liable for the damage and also that Bad Apple is not certified to fix IPhones.

The General Manager Collin again confirmed this. Both Rob and Collin have told us Bad Apple will put the phone back together so we ca take it to Apple (the only entity that is certified to fix or work on an IPhone) to be fixed. I will not except this solution. I believe that Kelsey/Bad Apple should take responsibility for damaging my phone and pay for the phone to be fixed.

Wow stay away from this place, What a rip off, first I bought a gift card for family member and they said there was no amount on it. I had to prove that I bought it, who has to do that now days! Next, the phone I bought lasted 1-1/2 mo. with a 1 month warranty they wouldn't even repair it @ their cost. Lost 160 bucks on this deal!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away from this BAD APPLE!!!
