Authorize.Net Reviews

I have been a customer of Mickeysplace.com for a number of years. This year, they added authorize.net as an intermediary for credit and debit card verification. A week ago, I placed an order on Mickey's Place, and saw authorize.net now being used by them. I entered my credit card info and billing address..

The transaction was declined - to an AVS mismatch. I retried 3 more times. Still no luck. My order still appeared in the Mickey's Place shopping cart. I gave up for the night.

The next morning, I got a text from my credit card, saying the transaction was approved. Curious, I looked up my recent transactions on my credit card's website, and I see 4 pending transactions for Mickey's Place.

Calling Mickey's Place, they confirmed that the 4 transactions were declined.

Calling my credit card, they would not remove the transactions because of the pending status. So now, I had the amount of the 4 transactions deducted from my available credit.

Calling authorize.net - they said that maybe my billing address was not entered right ! They made no effort to look into my transactions.

6 days went by, My credit card still showed the transactions pending. I called them again, and after much persuasion, they removed the pending charges. I had my card verify the correct billing and mailing addresses. I wrote them down.

Last night, I tried again placing the order, making positively sure I entered the correct information, and using the same credit card. The AVS mismatch message happened again, and that charge for that order at Mickey's Place is pending. Deja-vu !

That's where we stand, right now. I am not blaming Mickey's Place - I suggest avoiding authorize.net . If they decline the charge, it should not go to my credit card as pending, leaving available credit in limbo. If there is a " mismatch" what, exactly is mismatching ? If I don't find out, how can it be corrected ? I let Mickey's Place know that I will place the order by phone, once the funds for last night's transaction get back on my card.

Authorize.net should change their name to Unauthorize.net.

I was recently ripped off by Authorize.net. I created an account that was never completely established. Authorize.net never completed the account setup. Therefore I was unable to use the account and attempted to close the account on 4 separate occasions. I was unsuccessful in closing the account as I could not reach anyone at Auth.net that could help me. I was constantly transferred to another dept and then hung up on. Numerous emails went unanswered.

I forwarded this information to my attorney, with which we just won a class action lawsut against another financial institution. My attorney is more than willing to create a Class Action Lawsuit gainst Authorize.net. If anyone is interested in joining this class action lawsuit, please contact me via this thread, or if this email is able to stay on here - [email protected].

Authorize.net is one of the worst gateway providers in the credit card processing industry! It is next to impossible to cancel their service. When I realized I was not going to use them, tried to cancel & it did not get done, tried to cancel by phone and email. Notified my credit card bank and they suggested we dispute the continuing charges & block them from being able to charge me again. Did this, authorize.net continued to try & charge my card, and when charges did not go through these idiots sent emails threatening that they are going to add late charges & turn over to collection! They are a total ripoff!!

I actually wasted another phone call & spoke to a real ***, he threatened me that if I disputed the charges they would send to collection!

The disputes stand and authorize.net is blocked from charging my card ever again. Please don't let this disreputable company intimidate you to steal more money from you! Merchants have rights regarding this awful treatment. There are many very reputable gateway providers that you can use, Authorize.net is NOT one of them!

“Scammers! Don't trust Authorize.net or total merchant services” - Authorize.net and total merchant services. High pressure sales pushing me to use their mobile device. I was VERY reluctant and happy with my square device and service. The decision to try them out cost me $114.00. I spent hours setting up the device. The card reader never worked. I called customer service and we supposedly got it up and running. But it still didn't work. I called again, and they told me it should work ... But nope! So I gave up. I cancelled authorize.net and didn't cancel total merchant services. I was getting charged $38.00 per month for 3 months when I haven't even used the device yet. I was offered no refund I asked to talk to supervisor and he was more rude then the c.s. I was talking to. This is the first review I have left for any company. Hopefully this will help you. Crooks , scammers
