AuthorCentrix, Inc. Reviews

AuthorCentric ignores all my phone calls and emails. They owe me several quarters of royalties and sales reports that are not providing. I consider this theft and would like to find a way to make them pay.

These people will not respond to any phone calls or emails. They do not answer the phone by saying "Author Centrix". You get a recording and when you get to an extention you get another recording and when you try to leave a message, the mail box is full.

No person every answers the phone. No person ever answers emails. They are not paying royalties to me and, even when they were in business last year, they would never tell me how many books I sold or when I would received royalties.

Change of name does not change anything.

I was contacted a year ago by BookBlast Pro to move my book (The Twilight of Our Dawn) from the current publisher promising lower cost and better commission on sales. I went for the sales pitch and paid the $600. I had 30 days to cancel the agreement if for any reason I did not want to move forward. By week two I saw that this was not going to work at all. They answered all calls and emails in a timely manner until they received my payment. I left numerous phone messages as well as emails to inform them that I was cancelling the agreement. From this point on I left too many messages to count. I had three calls with agents promising to talk to the financial officer to process my refund. I would hear back within two weeks. Nothing ever happened. Finally in February I had a conversation with the financial officer who told me that they were processing the refund and I would hear back in two weeks. Surprise, nothing ever happened. I wrote a review on Book Blast Pro in March or early April and magically I received a call from an agent for Author Centrix. He explained that the parent publishing house had changed the name because of all of the bad press. He immediately charged in with their plans to publish my novel. I explained that I was promised a refund in February and that is all that I wanted. Silence is all I got. He tried over and over to get me to agree to the publication of my novel. I explained that there were to many red flags and I was staying with my current publisher. He said that he would have to research the promised refund and he would get back with me in the mythical two weeks. That was March 29,2018 and every call I make to the Author Centrix numbers all go to voice mail. Either no one works there during business hours or they are call blocking me. It is approaching a year since I paid them for the services promised and still nothing. They may have changed their name but it is business as usual there. Stay away.

Bookblastpro recently renamed themselves authorcentrix. I was contacted by an agent of bookblastpro. He said bookblastpro wanted to re-publish my book. As a trial they suggested that they present my book at the ajc decatur boor fair in decatur ga. On septemebr 1-3, 2017 they were to promote the book in print before the fair. I paid them the $499 and sent them 20 books and asked to see the promo. The promo they sent me was haphazardly written and had many spelling and grammatical errors. I corrected these and then tried to reach the bookblastpro agent. I got no response. It turns out bookblastpro had fired the agent but never bothered to tell me.

The fair of course happened, and i asked them to send me photos of the book being presented at the fair As was contractually specified). I called after the fair and found out the agent was no longer employed. I asked how the fair went. They said no books of mine had been sold. As part of the agreement. They sent back the unsold books. It arrived in the same box i had sent out to their office. The packing maerial was exactly the same and positioned exactly as i had packed it. I asked to see the images taken of the book in their boothS) at the book fair as required as part of their agreement. Naturally they had no images to send. They had no proof that the box had ever been opened.

Since then i have tried to make contact with someone who could authorize reimbursement of my $499, but i keep getting passed from individual to another. One of their agents gave me his extension and told me i should just keep calling him back to bug him about--like it is my responsibility to stay on their case. Basically they fired their agent who was working with me Saying he was not reputable-imagine that), never showed the books at the fair, and have no desire to be a responsible company, one with integrity. One of the individuals i spoke with even had the nerve to suggest that i sign up with them for 15 years. I asked for a reference and the customer they referred me to was 85 years old. They had signed him up for 15 years! i also found another yscam from october 2017 with a similar story of paying and not having their book displayed. Changing their name from bookblastpro may fool people, but i doubt if this company has changed its stripes. It has now been 3 months since i contacted them, with no results at all.
