Dont waste your money on these crooks. They extorted thousands of dollars out of me, and never bothered to even proof read my book, never mind publish it. Their contract isnt worth the paper that its written on. They kept my manuscript for six months and did absolutely nothing with it, even after I paid them $3000 AUD, and they are refusing to give me a refund! Do yourself a favour and find a reputable publisher instead, as AM wouldnt know what integrity is, even if it hit them on their head. To sum it up, they are nothing more than thieves and liars. They never communicate with you, and ignore all attempted communication and requests of a refund, since they have done no work on my manuscript at all.

AM No Good

AM is no good. They are propelling their activities aimed at defrauding authors on a worldwide basis including to people in the poorest regions of the world. They seem to find it easier to defraud and deceive people who get nothing in return for the money they take from them. My major concern is why the UK or American governments and others let their citizens to be defrauded by vanity presses? What is Scotland Yard, the FBI and the Interpol doing when crooks become self-legalized crooks and thieves? Pathetic.

There is no doubt that Austin Macauley are crooks and scammers writ large. They have not lived up to their promises to me and to the authors they scam. In March 2016 they like published my book, a memoir. In February 2017 they pinted my secondnovel. Their contract says they would pay every six month and they also promised to make my book available in bookstores in Victoria, British Columbia. They have not livd up to their promises. This has annnoyed me greatly. I denounced them in their own facebook website and they are now threatening to sue me, which is the usual kind of thing they do to people complaining against them or when they feel threatened and they crookedness exposed. I would like the British law enforcers to investigate this pseudo company with a view to stopping it from ripping off British citizens and citizens of other countries. As I live in Canada, I can not see how a lawsuit against them could be instituted. I will have no money to travel to England or to force them to come to Canada. Furthermore, they appear to be faceless. What they claim to be their office in London is a virtual office and not a working office. They sneak in there only to collect mail. Austin Macauley are an invisible company whose owners are in Cambridheshire and they provide no Cambridgeshire address.

Questionable ? ? ? ? ?

If AUSTIN McCAULEY is a genuine organisation working genuinely and a working organisation why don't they continue with a legal procedure against these comments if they are so libellous or untrue? Please let me and others know what your situation is now - in March 2020

I don't mess about! If my idea is in any way wrongly exploited or in any way abused no matter who it is or is not.

I WILL GO THROUGH ALL POSSIBLE LEGAL PROCEDURES TO BRING ABOUT FULL JUSTICE.

Laws I this country MUST be respected at ALL times by ALL people irrespectively.

Avoid them

Anything Austin Macauley, so-called publishers, say in its websites is lies and propaganda to deceive people to trust it and part with their monies for which they will never ever reap any benefits at all. They are not to be trusted. Once they get your money, they kiss you off good-bye.

Authors should get money from publishers and not the other way around. Austin Macauley makes their money and profits from authors and not from selling books. They have no book markets apart from placing a few printed copies with Amazon. They are a print on demand Vanity press.

AM has no fixed address apart from stating that it is in Cambridgeshire and it has virtual offices in London and now in New York. A few months ago, when an author asked to meet them in their London office, they turned down the request alleging lack of safety. What kind of organization fears to meet its clients in its office?

They are two explanations to account for the AM fear. They seem to know that their apparent grabbing of other people's money is prompting those they deceive to dislike them and they could turn up with policemen to arrest them or they don't want people to know that they don't have a real office but a virtual office where some of them go to collect mail about their apparent scams.

Authors, particularly new authors who are vulnerable to their deceptive ways, should avoid them like the plague. AM is up to no good. Authors will save themselves from deception and disappointment by avoiding them.

AUSTIN MACAULEY HAS NO OFFICE IN LONDON

In an online forum of authors reviewing Austin Macauley and discussing whether it is a bona fide publisher or a vanity press, a London writer and reviewer said that when he tried to take his manuscript to the address AM claims to be their office in London, he found out that it was a POST OFFICE BOX and not an office, describing it as a FRONT from where they collect correspondence for their operations in Cambridgeshire where they are registered and operate in a rather obscure manner .

AM's claim that it has an office in London from which it operates is therefore not true. What the writer says explains why AM recently turned down a request from another author to meet them in their fictitious office in London, alleging lack of security. They did not want the author to discover and know the truth that what they front as their office is indeed a virtual office or a POST OFFICE BOX.

Authors, old and new, beware of this vanity press called Austin Macauley which is up to no good. Avoid it in order not to fall prey to its apparently devious ways. Why trust an organization which is not truthful about itself and lies a lot?

Let the vanity press louts not bamboozle you

These crooks of AM vanity press lie a lot. They claim to have a wide network of marketing for their kind of books and that their kind of books are sold in bookstores. Which bookstores? This is a total lie. Their kind of books are only advertised on Amazon. Authors, please, avoid them like the plague. They are only out to steal your money and are to no good whatsoever for you. Don't let the louts to bamboozle you.

Avoid at all costs

If you value your hard earned money, or indeed your future as a successful author, please, please, please don't go anywhere near this bunch of con artists. They'll charge you an exorbitant fee, which they claim is a contribution towards production costs, and they'll promise the earth, but all you'll get (if your lucky) is a handful of printed copies which you'll have to figure out how to sell.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value

I have made the HUGE mistake of publishing several books with Austin Macauley. They don't care about book sales, as long as they have your money, they are happy. They claim to offer proof reading and editing, my manuscript came back with more errors than the original one. I assume their proof readers are not from an English speaking nation... I was also bribed with 20 free books to leave a positive review, which I declined last year. I've also been trying to get hold of Janine in marketing for months as she was the only shining light at the company, but now she isn't responding either. This is clearly a sinking ship! Don't do business with these cowboys. I've invested £14,000 with them and received £17 in royalties NOT ACCEPTABLE! Don't waste your money!

N.B.: copy from AM reviews at "Austin Macauley publishers ltd -- reviews" -- already sent to you but the name of the author was omitted, but this copy includes the name of the writer.

Top Publishers of UK with Hybrid Publishing Model

This company is one of the best publishers I found out in the UK. They are providing two different publishing models, traditional model and hybrid publishing model. With the help of a hybrid publishing model, they are giving an opportunity to new authors to make their dream of published author true. Which is why I highly recommend them to all the authors. A friend of mine published his first book with the help of their hybrid publishing model. He waited for more than 4 years to publish his first book but no publishers were accepting his manuscripts only Austin Macauley published his book. All of those who are saying its a scam, they should first contact the authors who published their books with this publisher.

Don't spread wrong and false information.

Avoid the Austin Macauley Scam at all costs

Hogwash. This writer does not say that Austin Macauley will only take works, if their authors agree to pay thousands of pounds or dollars for which they will get no profits in return. Austin Macauley is a vanity press scam which makes its money and profits from authors and not from selling books. It has no markets apart from placing a few error-ridden copies with Amazon hardly any one reviews. He also does not say that it is a print-on-demand scam. No true publishers asks authors to pay money to be published. It is in fact publishers who pay authors for their work and not the other way around. The unnamed writer appears to be of the AM scam.

Suffice it to read the author who laments having Pound 14,000n (fourteen thousand) with this criminal scam and all that author has received from AM is Pound 17 (seventeen).

Authors, please avoid this AUSTIN MACAULEY SCAM and its sister scams called OLYMPIA AND PEGASUS which are owned by the same individual who skulks in Cambridge, England.
