Arenas Transmissions Reviews

Robert is the owner and he acknowledged he could rebuild my transmission on my 2008 Mini cooper.

Robert estimated it would cost 2800-3400. I agreed and he had it in shop for several months, picked it up for $3480.

I drove this vechicle for less than 100 miles and within two days it was back at his shop, reverse and nuetral was pulling it in forward motion. Robert said i needed an aditional $967 for a part he didnt put in, I had no choice but to get the aditional funds to complete the job, but when i got it back it did the same thing only within 30 miles. I hired an attorney, the sttonery asked Robert to do one of three choices. refund the money spent ,repair the car for the third time since it was under warranty or we will file a lawsuit. Needless to say we filed a lawsuit and waiting for court. In the mean time i went to a different shop, They tore down the transmission in front of me and to video this and take pictures and showed me where Robert put parts in wrong, and such. The second shop felt bad that i got tooken advantage of for $4300 and he called Robert for him to come look at the problems and give him the opportunity to fix his own mistakes, but Robert refused his offer so i spent additional funds and the car runs great. Everybody should read the google reviews and get a clear idea of the shops that been in business and trust their gut. I really wished Robert would have cleared his reputation by fixing my transmission that he guranteed under warranty but it is what it is.

If you read this stay away from Areanas Transmissions its family owned and they had good intentions but failed to do a proper job on a cars transmission, and honor the contract.
