We purchased travel insurance through Norwegian Cruise Lines. My wife had to be admitted to a alcohol rehabilitation center one week before the scheduled departure. Aon, Fredrick Benjamin denied the claim stating that intoxification They go on to say that Sickness means an illness or disease of the body that commences while your coverage is in effect. If the sickness or disease begins prior to the effective date coverage is not covered by the certificatre.

The policy was sold by Norwegian Cruise Lines. They never attempted to explain anything. They only wanted a credit card number. Aon's position is that they don't know the particulars of the policy. Why are they selling them then?

When the policy arrived 60% of the writing area is shaded with very small fonts. You need a magnifying glass to read any of it. Aon may think this is over but is is far from ending. I intent to file a complaint with the State Department of Business Regulation. They will be summoned to Small Claims Court as well.

I checked the State of Rhode Island web site. They don't appear to be licensed to even sell insurnace in Rhode Island. Befor this is over they will regret not refunding my money.

I read where thier common MO is they have not received the information requested. I had to remind Mr. Benjamin the time and date he was sent all that was requested. That's when they rejected the claim.

I made travel plans to fly one way to Dallas. After one day i found out i would be unable to make the trip, and filed a claim after having purchased travel insurance. After i filed a claim, i got a note that says my claim was denied because my reason wasnt covered. No notes made when purchased that the inablility to go wasnt covered. Like the comercial we all have heard says, only covered in the event of a zombie appocalypse. I highly recommend that no one purchases with this company, its a waste of your money.

I purchased an airline ticket and insurance for my 79 year old father to come out for the holidays. Due to a sudden medical issues he was admitted to the hospital and was unable to fly. I contacted Aon to file claim. They informed me that I needed to submit a letter from his doctor. A letter was submitted stated due to my father' sudden illness he is unfit to travel at this time. I was them advised by Aon that the lettered needed addition information i e dates he was treated and his diagnosis. I obtained a second letter saying that my father was admitted on such dates and was advised he was unable to travel. If you should have any additional information please call his treating doctor. I faxed the second letter and followed up within 24 hours to ensure they received the 2nd letter. I was told it would take 48 hours to update my claim. Today, I called to follow up and was told that I needed to disclose his diagnosis because not all diagnosis qualifiy to pay claims submitted. This in it self is a scam! His diagnosis is irrelevant the fact remains the same. His VA doctor clearly stated in the letter he was admitted into the hospital and was unfit to fly at this time. That should be the end of it! This company is doing nothing but placing roads blocks to stop from paying. There are other complaints on file against them. I intend to personally sue them!

We purchased a Trafalgar "imperial highlight" tour to Europe on April 8-16, 2016 from AAA. Per Trafalgar we are required to acquire travel insurance as requirement of Czech Republic. We complied and Trafalgar offered AON travel insurance.

While in Vienna Austria, my wife's purse which contains her heart medicine including all our cash and bank credit cards were stolen inside the Trafalgar bus. We reported the incident to the tour guide and an incident report was filed. We also called AAA travel department. The AAA agent gave us the AON claims department. AON provide doctors to contact in Salsburg, our next city destination. My wife asked if they will pay for our new flight and cash lost even if we get her heart medicine because she is not 100% well and it took her primary physician several tries to find the perfect prescription drug for her heart problem. AON replied they will.We then authorized AAA agent to re-book us for an earlier flight.

When we arrived at Salsburg, my wife called the doctor's office and nobody was answering. The tour director and local guide took us to a local pharmacy and was able to get a medicine.

When we arrived in U.S. we filed a claim and sent them copies of driver's license returned by U.S. embassy when the Austrian police found them.

Jennifer L. Rey of AON refused our claim saying we do not have a doctors certification from Austria. The problem is that they provided a doctors office but nobody answers the phone. AON asked us to get my wife's doctor's certification which we did stating my wife's heart history and prescribed medicine for life. My AAA travel agent prepared all required documentation. AON still refused our claim.

Further discussion with my travel agent, reveals AON is an affiliate of Trafalgar.

It seems like you are providing a lawyer to help us alleviate this issue. It also shows that several complaints have been reported about AON. I think a lawyer with class-action suit will prevent this company to continue this bad practice.
