AMW Reviews

Billy houtz, precious herrera, logan lucia and chantal crouzet are not to be trusted. Don’t believe me? Just google his name alone and you’ll instantly see what i’m talking about.

Amw international, oc events, or whatever this company calls themselves will lie to you from the beginning with false promises. The job posting is misleading from the start, which is a shame since it has been posted all over indeed and ziprecruiterAs oc events, had no idea about amw international beforehand). All of these types of companies who constantly change their names are under a company called smart circle.

Google "smart circle scam" and see what comes up. Thank me later after you see the first result and read it before running faster than the gingerbread man. Here's a long and detailed but informative breakdown of what this job will entail:

The hypnotic spell starts with "hr representatives", one of whom is 19 years old. That alone should throw up a red flag, but you will be interviewed by either an "owner" or "hr rep" with false claims that this company is partnered with fortune 500 companies without giving you a clear view of exactly what you will be doing. When i went to the interview, it was my understanding that this company is called oc events and the door to the office even has that as their company name. Never heard anything about amw international, fw1 wax or smartride windshield repair.

It should also be noted that electronic/rap music is constantly playing in the office, which should indicate that this sort of environment is the opposite of professional. There's nothing wrong with having fun while working, but it should hint that this is indeed a scam.

After your first interview, you will be called back for a second interview and told that you were selected out of 30 candidates along with one other person. After working there long enough, you'll see that's a lie too since hiring will be frequent and more than half of your coworkers will constantly be different people since enough people will wise up quickly enough to the pyramid scheme that these shady people are running. I mean how else do you explain an alarmingly high turnover rate?

For your second interview, you will be sent to a gas station such as sam's club for a "day of observation." you will be asked to shadow the "owner" for about an hour as he/she shows you how to approach people to convince them to let you check their windshields and repair them/sell bottles of fw1 wax after giving a 30-second demonstration on the product. You have to do all of this while they are pumping their gas, and once you start working for them you will sometimes be asked to sell to people by approaching them in parking lots, which is justified as "retail."

None of this information about selling at gas stations will be told to you right off the bat in your interview and you'll be kept in the dark on everything as long as possible. Plus, nothing about repairing windshields or selling wax was mentioned one bit in the online job posting, but why would that be? Because billy houtz and his puppets know perfectly well that no one in their right minds would take a job like this if they knew exactly what it entailed.

But the "owner" will claim that you will be paid salary around $500 per week or some other false promise to get you to take the bait. They will actually be paying you percentage-based commission only. In reality, you will be lucky to make over $300 per week. Your "owner" will also make a laughable claim that you can eventually own your own office within a year and make six figures. Right, like you can make six figures selling wax bottles and repairing windshields.

You will also never receive clarity on what your work schedule will look like. However, you will be asked to come in at 7:45 a.M. For the morning meeting. I can second any claim that you will indeed receive unpaid training, which consists of you being asked to write down your goals and circle up with everyone else for a cult-like ritual that consists of one person saying "hey guys." everyone else will proceed to respond with "hey what" before the one person says "i got goals." everyone else will respond with "goals let's hear em."

After goal sharing, one of the "owners" will then launch into a lecture about inspiring quotes or stories from successful figures like mark cuban, but anyone with common sense knows that someone like him would rip anyone who participates in this scam to shreds and never condone this type of unethical practice.

You will also hear a constant rant sometimes filled with swear words about how people who work 9-5 jobs are inferior, and anyone who quits this company is a loser and will never be successful. God help you if you don't join everyone else in saying "juice" to express agreement though, yet another phrase designed to brainwash everyone.

Like i mentioned in the above paragraph, you will be standing around listening to cliche speeches while also practice pitching for what you're going to sell at a gas station. May i remind you that you're being paid absolutely nothing during this entire 2-3 hour session. You will then be split off into teams of 3-5 and assigned to what will usually be gas stations and occasionally military bases.

These "events" will more often than not be located at least 30 minutes-1 hour away from the office, and you will be pressured into driving other people. While your owner will reimburse you a small amount for gas, this still doesn't even come to close to justifying the gas bills you'll have to pay and not to mention the wear and tear you'll put on your car.

Since you will be carpooling with your team, it will be impossible for you to escape from your "event" even if you somehow come to the realization that you are being taken advantage of nonstop. You will arrive at your "event" as this company calls it, and you will start work and continue for about 8 hours or until "your goals are met.”

You will never be asked to take a break, and you will always feel guilty about taking breaks and even sometimes your leader will not ask you to take a lunch break until you bring it up.

After your day is done, you and your team will drive back to the office and sometimes in heavy traffic depending where you're traveling from. Some drives will be well over an hour though, and you will arrive back at the office at a late time. While you will not initially be asked to do anything beyond your day at the "field," you will progressively be given more responsibility without receiving any pay raises.

You will be promoted to "leadership" after a couple of weeks or a month once you teach back the systems of sales that you're taught, some of which encourage you to be unethical.

Even some non-leaders will be asked to stay and help out with paperwork after, which is also completely unpaid. If you receive the "honor" of being promoted to leadership, you will be asked to come into the office an hour earlier. You will be asked to come in at 6:45 a.M. And leave around 8-9 p.M. Or maybe even later.

During morning meetings, you and other "leaders" will be trained to lie to your "day of o's" the same way you were deceived. And forget about asking for overtime pay, which legitimate businesses would be happy to pay their workers in these types of conditions.

If you start working for this company long enough, your "leader"/"owner" will start asking you to accompany them on a road trip that will force you to be away from home for an extended period of time. The "leader" will also do their best to make you feel guilty if you choose not to go on that trip in their manipulative mannerism.

This trip can take up to a week. While no one will ever directly discourage you from spending time with family and friends, it's clear that this company will subtly make every attempt to make you abandon your life outside of work and make work your only social life.

If you want to work 12-15 hours a day six times per week while being paid basically $5/hour, which should be illegal if it isn't already, then by all means this is the job for you. You will also be very successful if you can be manipulative and are willing to abandon your social life completely. Sure making sacrifices is part of working and being successful, but no honest job would ever make you do the things this company does. If you want to keep your bank account and soul secure, stay far away!

The famous quote from the dark knight "you will either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" could not be a more accurate way to describe working for this organization.
