My Daughter went to this dealer to buy a car. She was shown a 2005 Chevy Equinox, she put money down on the car and was told to come back to pick it up. a day or two later she was called and was told that the Equinox was no good and they would not sell her that car. She was told that they had a 2008 Kia Sportage that was better for her, but it would be more money and she would need a larger down payment.

On Sat. Dec. 5, 2015 she picked up the Kia Sportage, found out it had 130000 miles on it, but she was told that it was in great condition and was told if there are any problems, just call them and they would fixed the problems.

On Sunday, the next day, the check engine light came on. Had it checked and was told that the code was for te catalyst converter. She called the dealer and was told to bring the car in and they would take a look at it. The next day the car broke down on her and would not start. They sent a tow truck to pick up the car and found out that it started rigt away. They kept for te whole day and said they would check everything out.

Went to pick up the car on Dec.10, 2015 and was told that the rear door was left open and it had ran down the battery and that the battery was replaced. When she asked about the check engine light, she was told that they could not ceck it because there was no codes in the system, but to take the car and if the light comes back on, to bring it back and they would fix what ever is wrong. Brian was the person she dealt with and even told er he was the owner of the place and it would only cost him $200 to $250 dollars to replace the catalyic converter if was bad. e also stated, what do expect with 130,000 miles on the car.

On Dec.11 the car would not start again. Found the negative battery cable ad fallen off the battery, it was never tightened up. The check engine light was back on.

Now she has to take the car back to them to work on the problem with the check engine light that we know has something to do with the emissions.

Who can help my Daughter with this problem?????

I just bought a car from American auto group aka ripped off. I drove the car home, about 45 mins drive. The next I took the car to drop my wife at work, start driving for about 5mins, car stop moving. That's when I found that the car had transmission problem. I called them asap to let them know what's going on... calitos/carlos, said the car was fine but they going to called me back... every time I called,, they can't come with answer. 4 days later I called them, carlos/calitos said that there is nothing he can do for me and then hung up the phone I paid 6000$ for the can... when I took the car to a shop... shop said it'll cost me about 3400 to fix the problem. the mechanic show what they did to the transmission. It's look like now I am end up with car, a bad transmission. Not only that I just loose my job because I can get to work on time... now how am I going to pay to get this fix... That's a really bad dealer. They shouldn't sell any car at all.. they have customer service, no patient at all. All they worried about is ripped people like me to make a living. It's just sucks, to buy a car and they next day you paying half of the price you pay for the car to getting it fix or junk it. I just got ripped of 6000 at American auto group/ tres Hermanos auto sale at 1655 NW 79th St, Miami, FL 33147+1 305-693-3885
