He has had many websites over the years. To name a couple of them-Indie SOS Actor Collective, actingfree.com, etc. His latest sites, at the time of this writing, are, creativefilmalliance.com & havenhollowfilms.com. There are, most likely, more sites that he operates, as he is always creating new sites.
The purpose of this complaint is to warn aspiring actors in the Las Vegas area of his deceit, unprofessionalism, and lack of certain required skill sets, that he would need to actually deliver on, with all of his empty words.
Deceit- lies, lies, lies. Ryan / Josh does theatrical acting classes inside of his home, in south west Las Vegas. ( huge red flag right there ) Do not expect much of this training to be useful for on camera acting. He doesn't know how to teach that, being that it's a different skill, that he has no knowledge in. He doesn't know how to teach an auditioning class.
He can't teach you the business side of the acting world. All he can teach is acting for theatre, which he does an ok job at. So if that's your thing, do his class for a bit and then do yourself a huge favor and get out of there!
There's actual good, legitimate coaches in Las Vegas where you can get better ( and proper ) training. But this is not just an acting class. Oh no. With Ryan / Josh, he also tries to be a movie maker, camera operator, script writer, head shot photographer, director, and editor, all by himself! ( All skills of which he is of amateur quality )
He will promise you that you'll be apart of awesome, high quality, feature films and short films, if only you show up to his weekly class and volunteer to work as a crew member on his films, for free of course. Ryan / Josh will shoot short / feature films with the wrong type of outdated equipment.
Actors are forced to be a part of the crew to save on costs. ( no hiring professional crew members with this outfit ) Pretty much all of his projects are shot at his house / backyard. Every project that you are a part of will never be turned into a finished project, ever. And in the extremely rare case that it is, it will be unusable for your demo reel or even to put on your resume, due to its low quality.
You will also be prohibited from being apart of any real project elsewhere, because, after all, this is a, " family." ( so cringe but he uses the family word a lot ) So don't take acting classes elsewhere, audition for any short films, feature films, webisodes, get professional headshots by someone who knows what they're doing, etc, if you are a part of his cult, or, group.
Unprofessionalism-He constantly goes off topic and will rant forever about, of all things, politics! ( He's a raging conservative btw ) When an actor finally wises up and leaves his cult, he will then badmouth them in front of all the other students at the next class / future classes. And lastly, as stated previously, his classes, as well as his film projects, are shot out of his personal home. ( very amateur )
All of this has been written without malice. It is only to warn other aspiring actors about his sociopathic ways. Again, he's not a bad theatre acting coach, for beginners. Take what you can for a short period of time, if learning theatre acting is your thing, and then go get a real acting coach. I highly suggest that no one wastes their time in being in any of his short or feature films.
