Nearing my completion of a PHP treatment in Lake Worth, I thought I was transitioning to an IOP in Boynton Beach, Fl., so I vistied"A New Life" halfway house. They had over 4 empty beds, I asked them to hold a bed and gave a deposit of $180. I rec'd a recept that was dated incorrectly and said 'rent'. I never signed any documents, and told the owner, Kim, that I would call her as my plans were confirmed. Throughout the week, my transitioned changed to another facility in Naples that was better suited for my age group and needs. I called for my refund and was told they needed to speak with my counselors, they doubted I was even in treatment and that I probably just found something better. I contacted an attorney in PA who advised me that it would be best to make the call with my counselor, and just try to ge tthe refund. I did that, and we talked with the house manager. The owner was away and had been 'unavailable' since my first call. Now they are not accepting my calls. Please help, I am not working and need this money. This is just worng!
